Annex Building Study & Generator Building Update 2024
Our plans to upgrade some of the headland buildings took a step forward as we have completed the Feasibility study for the Annex Building plus an update to the previous Generator building study coupled with a related Business plan.
The larger Generator building will be used as a multi purpose community space, accommodate our Dark Skies project, provide artist workspaces with the smaller Annex building used to provide visitor accommodation.
Financial assistance for the additional study was provided by the Rural & Island Communities into Action Fund and included feasibility work, design options, informing on the latest low carbon energy solutions and providing a business plan. These Studies were undertaken by TIG (Tighean Innse Gall). We look to complete the final reports in 2025 and be in a position to seek capital funding.
