The Old Mission House project has progressed with the RICs Valuation, Condition survey and QS cost estimate now complete. These elements were carried out under the management of Tighean Innse Gall and funded by the Scottish Land Fund. The house will require a full interior renovation to meet current building standards and letting regulations.
As part of the Scottish Land Fund stage 2 a second community consultation was carried out with 85% responding, all of whom supported the project moving to the next phase of placing a conditional offer and submitting the Scottish Land Fund stage2 application for funding to purchase the property. The SLF application has now been submitted with a decision expected in October.
The Feasibility study and Business plan funded by The Rural Housing Fund have been completed and it is hoped a full application can be submitted to RIHF to fund the house renovation. A contribution to the renovation has also been requested from The SSE Hydro Community Fund with a decision expected by end September.
